Perched above the calm waters of Grand Cul-de-Sac, Villa Tourmaline is one of the newest creations of the Issayah Estate. Named after the stone believed to absorb negative energies, Tourmaline embodies the calm and clarity that define this side of the island. Just a three-minute walk from the Barthélemy Hotel & Spa, it is set within a private, peaceful environment where lush tropical vegetation frames the turquoise lagoon. Inside, natural stone floors set the tone, while two signature materials define the villa’s character: bamboo fibre and straw wall coverings, and weathered grey wood dressing the bathrooms and furniture — all furnished by leading French designers.
A villa designed for togetherness and privacy
The villa welcomes up to 6 guests across 3 bedrooms, arranged to give each stay both togetherness and privacy. The master bedroom sits slightly apart from the main living areas, with its own terrace overlooking the lagoon — a quieter retreat within the villa. The two other bedrooms open onto the pool, side by side and connecting, a layout designed with families in mind. Each can also be accessed independently from the main deck. The air-conditioned living room opens onto the terrace through wide bay windows, with a TV lounge, an open kitchen with breakfast bar, and a utility room. A connected Sonos sound system runs through the house and every bedroom — as suited to a quiet evening as it is to a celebration. Guests also have access to the estate’s shared fitness room.
The heart of the villa: living outdoors together
The main deck, reached by a staircase from the private car park, opens onto the covered terrace: comfortable sofas, a dining area facing the lagoon, and the heated infinity pool. Behind, a second terrace with generous seating and a fire pit extends the day into the evening. Like the other villas in the Issayah Estate, Tourmaline can be booked on its own or combined with the others, hosting up to 28 guests across the estate in a flexible, harmonious configuration.
